Who is Eligible?

The following two categories of people are eligible to register for NDSS benefits:


• residents in Australia who have been diagnosed with diabetes by a doctor  or Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE), and hold a current Australian Medicare card or Department of Veteran Affairs file number, or
  
  
• visitors to Australia from a country with a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement may be entitled to temporary registration on the NDSS.
