Diabetes WA is the NDSS Agent for Registrants living in Western Australia. They are continually working towards their vision of “Freedom from diabetes” by providing:
- information and education programs to extend your diabetes knowledge and equip people with practical skills to live a full and healthy life
- support to help along with the diabetes journey
- products designed to help people manage diabetes.
NDSS Registrants can access a number of services free of charge:
- Shop Smart – a local supermarket tour where you learn how to make healthier choices at the checkout
- Cook Smart – an interactive class that shows you how to prepare healthy meals without compromising on taste
- Diabetes Information and Advice Line (DIAL) – a telephone support service manned by experienced Diabetes Educators who can answer questions and provide referrals to other healthcare providers.
In addition, members of Diabetes WA are kept up-to-date with all the latest diabetes news and information while providing a great package of benefits including a quarterly membership magazine and discounts on a range of products and services such as diabetes education, podiatry and optometry.
