Strategic Development Grant priorities announced for 2008/09

Under the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) Head Agreement, Diabetes Australia is required to administer the Strategic Development Grant (SDG) program. The purpose of the SDG program is to provide funding for projects which will maintain and improve the capability of the NDSS to meet the needs of Registrants.
 
Below are the priorities for the Strategic Development Grant program  for 2008/09.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders (ATSI)

Collaboration and working towards effective delivery models with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) and NACCHO for supply of products and services to Indigenous communities.

Empowering local communities - educating community elders about diabetes to provide information to their communities.
