      Free Syringes

      State and territory Governments have agreed to cover the co-payment for insulin needles or syringes purchased by NDSS Registrants in their jurisdiction. This effectively means the needles and syringes are “free” to eligible Registrants in all states and territories.

      Price Increase

      Each year, on 1 January, in accordance with the NDSS Head Agreement 2006-2011, the Registrant contribution for supplies under the NDSS increases.

      This increase is in line with the Government’s policy on medicines subsidised under the PBS, which are indexed annually to account for changes in the costs of goods.
      Details of price increases will be posted on this website in December each year.

      There are a number of ways you can order products:

      • at selected NDSS outlets
      • over the counter at your nearest Diabetes Australia office
      • by phone with a credit card to 1300 136 588
      • by posting the Order Form to Diabetes Australia, GPO Box 9824 in your Capital City.
