Insulin pump program

For people with type 1 diabetes

If you’re using an insulin pump or are about to begin insulin pump therapy, this hands-on session is for you.

You might be a little unsure about how to get the most out of your pump, or you just want to learn more about the features of your pump provides. This three-hour workshop will help you figure it all out, from identifying any fears or concerns when using your pump to getting to know some key information that will help you live confidently with diabetes.

Topics include:

  • insulin pump features and adjusting pump settings
  • bolusing
  • preventing and managing hypo/hyperglycaemia
  • sick days
  • infusion sets
  • continuous glucose monitoring.

Note: This program isn’t suited to children under the age of 18, so they cannot attend, but parents and/or carers are more than welcome.
