Living with insulin program

For people with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes

Want to know more about insulin? This program will help you understand insulin, what kinds of different products and equipment are available, and why it’s important to look after your blood glucose levels.

During this three-hour workshop you will learn about:

  • what insulin does in your body and why you need it
  • products, supplies, and storage
  • injection techniques
  • blood glucose monitoring and hypo/hyperglycaemia
  • diabetes and driving.

This program is great for you if you are:

  • new to insulin
  • or have been on insulin a while and would like a refresher.

Note: This program isn’t suited to young people under the age of 18, but parents and carers are welcome to attend.
