Peer support program

For people living with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes

Share your experiences, goals, concerns and interests through our programs, which are great platforms of peer support. Our program provides support in the form of training opportunities for the leaders of the group, grants, insurance, mentoring, links to health professionals (if needed) and up-to-date diabetes information.

Peer support groups and networks connect people with diabetes so they can share ideas, experiences and thoughts. Connecting with others who face challenges can help you feel less alone or helpless. Mutual support and education go a long way towards improving quality of life.

To know more about peer support read the Peer support for diabetes fact sheet.
