Omnipod listing on the NDSS Product Schedule from 1 December 2022

Published:

The Minister for Health and Aged Care has approved the listing of Omnipod on the NDSS Product Schedule from 1 December 2022.  From this date, Omnipod can be accessed in a similar way as other insulin pump systems through the NDSS.

Information is available on the NDSS website to provide guidance for people with type 1 diabetes and health professionals. The process to apply for access to subsidised Omnipod product through the NDSS will depend on whether a person has used the Omnipod DASH® System by purchasing/accessing this directly from Insulet Australia.

For existing users of the Omnipod DASH® System, you may be contacted by the product sponsor, Insulet Australia, and invited to self-nominate for streamlined access to subsidised Omnipod products. Insulet Australia can be contacted for product related enquiries at omnipod.com/en-au or on phone 1800 954 075 or +61 272 084 353.

Diabetes Australia and the NDSS is available to assist and provide guidance for people with type 1 diabetes about accessing Omnipod through the NDSS. For more information or support, contact the NDSS Helpline on 1800 637 700.
