NSW Floods: Support for People Living with Diabetes

Published:

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the flooding across New South Wales. We understand that managing diabetes during an emergency can be challenging, so we want to make sure you know how to access the support and supplies you may need.

Making sure you have what you need

If you need NDSS diabetes products, you can access them at NDSS Access Points, which are usually pharmacies. If you don’t have your NDSS card, don’t worry, you can still access your supplies using your Medicare card.

We understand that your regular pharmacy may be closed or difficult to reach. You can search for an alternative pharmacy using the Healthdirect service finder. If you’re unsure if a pharmacy is open, it’s a good idea to call ahead before visiting.

We’re here to help

If you need support or are having trouble accessing your NDSS products, please reach out. The NDSS is here to support you.

For assistance, contact the NDSS Helpline on 1800 637 700 (Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm) or email [email protected].

In a life threatening situation please contact 000.
