Published: 28 July, 2026 The Guardian System (4) Transmitter (NDSS Code 985) will no longer be available through the NDSS from 1 September 2026. What this means for you If you currently use the Guardian System (4) Transmitter with the Guardian app, you will need to transition to an alternate CGM system available through the NDSS. Due to an update to its approved use, Guardian Sensor (4) will only be approved for use as part of the MiniMed 780G insulin pump system using Guardian Link (4). It will no longer be approved for standalone use with the Guardian app. Medtronic will provide transition support for eligible affected registrants, including no-cost sensor supply and continued access to replacement transmitters during the product discontinuation period.
