Changes to the NDSS from 18 January 2021

Dexcom G6

From Monday 18 January 2021, Dexcom G6 products will be available to access through the NDSS on a limited basis.

People who meet the eligibility criteria and are using the Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump can access Dexcom G6 products through the NDSS.

Starter kits

No starter kit is required if someone is currently using the Dexcom G6 device.

Medtronic Bluetooth Guardian Link (3)

From Monday 18 January 2021, Medtronic Bluetooth Guardian Link (3) products will be available to access through the NDSS.

People who meet the eligibility criteria can access Medtronic Bluetooth Guardian Link (3) products through the NDSS.

Please note the Medtronic Bluetooth Guardian Link (3) is only compatible with the MiniMed 770G insulin pump.

Starter kits

No starter kit is required if someone is currently using the Medtronic Bluetooth Guardian Link (3) device.

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria to access continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and flash glucose monitoring (Flash GM) products through the NDSS have not changed.

Access forms

From Monday 18 January 2021, updated Continuous and Flash Glucose Monitoring Access Forms will be available on the NDSS website.

Authorised certifiers

There are changes to the health professionals authorised to certify Continuous and Flash Glucose Monitoring Access Forms. For more information about these changes—download from the NDSS website—Health professionals authorised to certify continuous and flash glucose monitoring access.

Updated Continuous and Flash Glucose Monitoring Access Forms will be available on the NDSS website.
