Changes to the NDSS Helpline number

You may have noticed that the NDSS Helpline telephone number has changed. The new telephone number is 1800 637 700.

What does this mean for you? You can now call the NDSS Helpline free of charge. Update your phone contacts with the new number!

What happens if I ring the old 1300 number? If you ring the 1300 number don’t worry, you will still be connected to the 1800 NDSS Helpline number. 

Call the NDSS Helpline on 1800 637 700 to:

  • get advice on diabetes self-management
  • talk to a health professional about managing your diabetes
  • learn more about NDSS products
  • request a replacement registration card
  • update your contact details.

The NDSS Helpline is available:

  • 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
  • 9am to 12pm on Saturdays and national public holidays.

Do you need an interpreter to talk to the NDSS Helpline?

You can call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450. State your language. Wait to be connected to an interpreter, then and ask for 1800 637 700.

If you are hearing or speech impaired:

  • access the TTY (teletypewriter) on 133 677
  • Speak and Listen on 1300 555 727
    or
  • National Relay Service then enter the number 1800 637 700.
