Published: 29 May, 2026 People using the MiniMed™ Mobile app on Android devices are being advised to check their app version and update as soon as possible following a product correction notice from Medtronic. What is the issue? Medtronic has identified a problem affecting the MiniMed Mobile app (Android version 3.2.0) where the app may disconnect from the insulin pump. If this happens, users may see a “Pump Communication Error” message. As a result: Pump data and alerts may not be displayed in the app Attempts to reconnect the app to the pump may fail Data may not upload correctly to CareLink Care partners using the CareLink Connect app may not receive timely notifications What does this mean for users? While the issue may cause inconvenience, the insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) functions are not affected. This means: Your pump will continue to deliver insulin as normal Your CGM will continue to function However, the app may not work reliably as a secondary display, and recent data may not appear in CareLink reports. It’s also important to note that, as outlined in the app instructions for use: Treatment and dosing decisions should always be based on the insulin pump or CGM system—not the app What you need to do If you are using the MiniMed Mobile app on an Android device: Check your app version If you are using version 3.2.0, update to version 3.2.1 or higher as soon as possible You can do this via the Google Play Store: Open the Play Store Select Manage apps & devices Look for the MiniMed Mobile app and tap Update Getting help If you have questions or need support, you can contact Medtronic’s 24-hour Technical Support line on 1800 777 808.
